| St. Nicholas is committed to the idea that a parish is part of the fabric of its local community, and can be a presence for building up the well-being and common good of all. Sometimes this means parish facilities (and website) are engaged to support person- /community-oriented initiatives not necessarily perceived to be 'religious' in the strict sense of the term. |

Birch Cliff Neighbourhood - Community Meeting
Residents of the Birch Cliff neighbourhood are welcome to attend a Community Meeting on Tuesday, July 8 at 6:30pm in Robinson Hall at St. Nicholas' Anglican Church. [map »] The meeting is one of a series organized by residents and shop owners within our community who are concerned about the perceived rise in crime in this neighbourhood. Everyone, including St. Nick’s parishioners, are invited and welcome to attend. This will be the third community meeting of its kind, aimed at addressing various issues, including crime, public safety and neighbourhood enhancement. At the first meeting, on Tuesday, May 13, Councillor Brian Ashton [link] was with us to answer questions and provide some information from the City of Toronto's perspective. There was also a meeting June 10. All are welcome and encouraged to attend the meeting on July 8. |
