Children's Ministry

Sunday Programs (available during the 10:30am service)

Toddlers - 1 1/2 to 3 years old

There is no specific curriculum delivered for these children, but Christian books and activities will be provided for them in a safe and secure play area within the Sunday School room. Parents are welcome to stay and play with their children.

Pre-Schoolers - 3 to 5 years old

The curriculum comes from a variety of sources for this age group. It is highly interactive and will teach biblical foundations while entertaining the engaging the children in a variety of ways. The bible story is followed by craft time, and finally open play time.

Juniors - 6 to 8 years old

The Seasons of the Spirit is the curriculum that our volunteers will use to instruct the 6 - 8 year olds. It is based on the Lectionary and follows the teachings and sermons that occur on that Sunday in church. It is a slighty more formal and in-depth curriculum than the one used for the 3 -5 year olds

Intermediates - 9 to 12 years old

Our older children will also be using the Seasons of the Spirit curriculum, but their material is targeted specifically at their age range. It is once again more challenging, and provides more depth to the discussions and information delivered.

Children's Time - Following the Processional Hymn, children will be invited to the front of the church to participate in a discussion with Rev. Janet about the readings of the day. After this has concluded, the children will be lead downstairs by our Sunday School volunteers.

Curriculum Delivery - Children will progress through their specified curriculum with their volunteer teachers.

Return Upstairs for Communion - Children will be brought back upstairs to join their families for communion. Children return during the offertory hymn, and stay with their families for the rest of the service.
